I really like the program and I trust it more than Intuit's Turbo Tax. I would have given a higher rating except for one big issue. It would be nice if the program made it known that the IRS will not send a paper check and requires bank information for a direct deposit. Having to create an IRS account so the information could be added was completely unnecessary.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents, Fast

I have been using TurboTax for over 10 years, but decided to try the H&R Block software this year. While I found it similar in operation to TT, I thought things weren't quite as clear as in TT, however that may be due to my being more familiar with TT.
My biggest gripe with the H&R Block software is that I was unable to import my investment accounts from Merrill Lynch. I spoke with one of your support people and he said that it was going to be added in the next update. I waited for 2 additional updates, and the software still wouldn't offer to import Merrill Lynch accounts. I'm going back to TurboTax next year.
Cons: Hard to import documents
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
