Surprise! After twenty years with TurboTax, they refused to provide a downloadable version for 2026 for use on Windows 10! 25% of Microsoft users are still on Win 10. Stupid move. Stupid. They already had a win 10 version from last year to just update.

thought this is a great product that we are confident is done accurately... Not sure if we qualify for "free file".
also, I don't like printing the many forms and schedules that mostly are blank with zero entered for my records. What a waste of paper and precious expensive ink cartridges. I wish someone could figure out how to compress printing for records .

I use H&R Block every year. It's not easy filing taxes but much easer with this program doing most of the work. I particularly enjoyed the AI assistant this year. I always have questions and it was easier to ask AI than to do a search.

Compatible with my iMac

I have always used Turbo Tax for my tax return software. This year I could not use Trubo Tax as it was not compatible with the OS on my iMac, I decided to try H&R Block's comparable software as it would work on my computer. It is very similar to the software I've used in the past so I really had no problems working with it. Hoping that the 2026 version will still be compatible with my computer.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great User friendly software!

In the past I have used Turbo Tax. However, this year because Turbo Tax no longer supports previous versions of OS I switched to H & R Block. Although I manually calculate my taxes I found a few sections a bit confusing simply because I misread some of the instructions. Otherwise, the software is great, guidance is supportive and the price was perfect. Therefore, I plan to order it again next year.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Fast
