H & R Block tax programs hav been helping us with our taxes for many years. It's become better year after year and we feel very comfortable with the accuracy. Sorry to say, but visiting one of their offices last year for some help on a different tax matter was very disappointing.

I bought the program thinking it would be similar to last year’s, but there was a huge problem when it came to the error messages. The program told me what the problem was, but didn’t allow me to access that form directly. I had to guess which form was the problem and go back. In this case it was something I didn’t think was necessary. I had to put in the state name when there was no state tax withheld. Ir took me longer to find out which form than it did to do the whole return.
Pros: Easy to prepare
Cons: Time consuming
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Is advertised as being easy To find the answers to questions, however it was difficult and impossible in most cases to get an actual answer from anything in the software. The AI assistant was worth worthless for any of the questions I had.
