I have been using your product for many, many years. It works well. The additional state purchases are a bit pricey. It would be nice if you could help out a bit there especially for older fixed income people that use your products.

When I first opened the program, I was a little nervous about switching from Turbo Tax, but it was pretty easy to use. It imported all my needed data from Turbo Tax. The reason for switching was that the downloaded version of Turbo Tax was no longer compatible with Windows 10.

1099R forms were a problem this year. When the Taxes were rejected the help was not very useful on the addresses. The last rejection notes were helpful.

The Fed works well, but the Alabama program has an error. It does not record the Foreign Earned Income Exclusion for Non-Residents. I have to manually enter the negative amount in line 8 of page 2. Before doing this the program said I owed 41200+ in state taxes. Once I add this exclusion I owe $0. I found this and did it last year, too. Otherwise I would have paid a lot in state taxes I didn't owe then as well.
Pros: Maximizes refund
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare, Hard to import documents

H&R Block Deluxe 2025 worked well for my needs. It does what it needs to do with no issues. Installation might be an issue for some but it always works. I recommend that the installation be made more straightforward.
