I’ve used H&R Block for decades. This year was a lot of problems. I prepare returns for 3 filers — my wife and I, my mother, and my daughter. The program kept changing entries on downloaded 1099R’s and 1099Div’s and 1099B’s. Usually name entries but sometimes dollar entries.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Easy to import documents
Cons: Time consuming
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I could not find where to deduct dividends which were from purchasing government obligation. It is for state tax. Not sure I missed it or ?

The only major problem I found with the software was when you import a W2, it would never upload the state income tax information forcing me to manually enter W2s.
Pros: Easy to prepare

The flow seemed confusing. I had to do a lot corrections and backing up because the directions seemed hard to follow.. I have used the older versions of the software but this version had some twists and turns. Then I was charged twice to file my efile state formsmm
