I have used H&R Block for years, this year there were several questions that were totally confusing. One question directed me to line 11 of last year's returns. Line 11 did not appear to have anything to do with the section of the returns I was in. Help gave no help or explanation of what the question wanted or why. The review showed that I had Errors, but they were blank.
Pros: Easy to prepare
Cons: Doesn't maximize refund, Hard to import documents
I would recommend this to a friend!

Meh software, but it doesn't require Windows 11

I bought HR Block software only because TurboTax requires Windows 11 and I despise Windows 11. The HR Block software was adequate, but I found it very misleading compared to TurboTax. TurboTax correctly recalculated how much I owe or how much refund I get based on each new piece of informatin I enter. HR Block software was massively WRONG in its predictions until the very very very end of the process where it finally recalculated and gave me a WILDLY different answer about whether I owed versus getting a refund.
Cons: Hard to prepare
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I am happy with how your progression in the application is very organized, but the printing of the letters are small. With all the times I have to use a magnifier on my statements it makes it difficult to read and type at the same time. Especially with anything that is new tax law.
