Major problems

I couldn't go to the area I wanted to on my taxes. There is too much of a gap between inputting our oil money on our 1099 miscellaneous and the schedule E. I need help interpreting the deductions listed on my 1099 miscellaneous. There was no way to detail the souce of of my 2099 miscellaneous form. It was for medical research I participated in.
Cons: Doesn't maximize refund, Hard to prepare

Almost perfect for the first time in 20 years.

I have always given HR Block a 5 star review for the past 20 years. This year I have to give it a four because of two problems. We purchased a 2024 Ford Escape Plug Hybrid. The software did not know that they federal tax credit for this car expired in 2023. Additionally, I have to file an amended North Carolina return. The software will not allow me to submit an amended return online.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Easy to import documents, Fast
Cons: Doesn't maximize refund

Been using for years without incident including 2025. A few programming errors made using the program a little frustrating. The main example was the label on action buttons (next, back, print, etc) were not activated, that is, if you clicked on the label area nothing happened.
