I purchased Federal Deluxe the end of January, have prepared my taxes for 2025 with the guidance and being able to import a lot of information. I have used H& R Block for 18 years and plan to continue in the future.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents, Fast

I’ve used HR Block for a number of years- it has always worked out pretty good. The tax program is straight forward for those of us that have uncomplicated returns- it guides you through each step. There are helpful hints and reference articles and forms when needed. It seems to be overpriced, but I’ve been happy with it.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Fast
Cons: Hard to import documents
I would recommend this to a friend!

Totally Free Option to HR Block - Name withheld

After many years using HR Block I used a totally free alternative and it was an outstanding product. Although I bought HR Block 2025 I didn't like how you allowed a free start then as soon as a not so advanced form was needed the $$$ came into play. Thank you for past tax support but I've moved on to a better product.

Buggy software needs new developers and testers

you autobilled me for your software. take me off for 2026. I don't want your software. I have been unable to file taxes for over a month now because your software keeps telling me I have to update it. and the next update date per your software is FEBRUARY 13! (Still the same thing today 3/18/26. you going to compensate me for not being able to get my refund? yesterday in a chat I was told there is another update on the 20th. what are you going to do if it doesn't fix the problem?
