Spouse passed away in later 2024. now filing federal as single individual. That and other quirks in the federal tax form (check offs/atteststions required) created some new challenges. Looking forward to program enhancements with AI that will identify things that have changed in a new year’s filing compared to the prior year once I begin the tax prep process. Will help me understand where and why filling out my taxes is different this year compared to last before I get started on this year’s taxes. And when I finish filling out my taxes AI will do a solid sanity check
Pros: Easy to prepare, Easy to import documents
Cons: Time consuming

It's ok for simple returns, but I feel like it doesn't provide as much background, help and context as I need for certain inputs. Also, the menus are not well laid out, printing was a challenge and it's cumbersome to navigate

I've been using H&RB Deluxe for more than 10 years. It handles everything I need - simple stuff, investments, home business, Roth conversions, etc. The interface is straightforward, not glitzy. This is tax software - glitz and glam not required. The price is lower that the big name competitor. I want to pay less taxes, and pay less for tax software - Win-Win!
