I have been using H&R Block tax software for a long time. Have no desire to try another package. Makes it so much easier to do my Federal and State taxes. Well worth the $s to purchase and use. Try it, you will like it. Can use for up to 5 tax submissions. Since I live in NY the state software is included at no additional cost (State Law).
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents, Fast

This is my third year using H&R Block Deluxe software. As with previous years I found it very difficult to navigate to where I could print estimated tax vouchers. I would also appreciate a function to populate the estimated tax vouchers with the appropriate amount of money. Otherwise, it works well.
Pros: Easy to prepare
Cons: Hard to import documents

3rd year in a row AL state program could not process QCD or compete AL Schedule RS. Fed program couldn’t handle multiple IRA distribution

I've used H&R Block Deluxe software for at least 15 years. I have found it to be accurate, and easy to use, especially when I wanted to itemize lots of expenses in different categories. Some years I did my taxes BOTH ways - itemizing and using the standard deduction to compare. In the past few years, I have found the standard deduction was easier and gave me all I could claim back. Just remember whatever taxes you have paid limits whatever you can claim back. If the standard deduction gives you that, save your time and stress and let it do the math for you. Glad to have H&R covering my back.
