I always use this software, but I find it to be not as user friendly as it could be. The interview process is great, but the accuracy check is confusing. It would be more helpful if the software would talk you back to the interview section when there is a question, especially when it comes to the state because the state forms are entirely different and u recognizable from the federal. I spent days on the accuracy check section and became frustrated.
Pros: Easy to prepare
I would recommend this to a friend!

I have used this product for a number of years and I would hate to even try another product because (1) I am getting lazy in my old age and I am very comfortable with it, and (2) I have never had a serious problem with it and it has saved me money. Side comment: I once had several limited partnership investments that I had to enter into my return, and that was always a mess to sort through. However, I don't l know how any software can ever be written that covers all the LP situations out there. Maybe AI will come to the rescue some day. One critique: I am now accumulating significant long term capital gains on a yearly basis and I would appreciate a more detailed gains calculation report from the software.

I'm using HR Block since a long time ago... always good. No complain.
This year I needed form 4852 but was a disappointed because it wasn't available in the app.
It forced me to file my tax by paper, e-filing wasn't possible anymore.
I'm going to try another software for next year to see if it supports my needs.

This years product did not seem up to the usual quality of Block. For one thing I felt some of the issues presented in efile diagnostics should have been flagged earlier in error check. You think you have completed the return and come back later and run error check before filing seeing all is correct and then get hit with efile issues that should have been previously flagged.
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare
