Works OK if you used it before and know what you want to do, not really helpful for info on some items that are not common.
The worst for me was the 'Go To' sections after you've already put in data and need to go back to an item, you have to go through the whole series of questions to get to the actual item you want. And equally bad was the tiny print and color/font in the 'learn more' boxes about subjects and the small font size and different color print in the 'forms' box when accessing specific forms to look at, and the tiny font on those forms. This still happened even after going to my computer settings to change my font sizes.

Seems to handle most tax situations OK- however there are certain circumstances that it doesn't appear to be able to process and requires entry directly into forms outside of the normal interview workflow. It also is lacking in instruction when you have to enter something outside of the normal interview flow. Results in leser confidence in the accuracy of your return.

Cons: Hard to prepare

I completed my taxes mid February and was looking forward to a nice refund but sadly the software would not let me submit electronically because the partnership logic was not in the package yet. It eventually came the first part of April and I was able to submit but I was absent my refund for 2 months. Not a happy camper about that and customer support was not.

I've used it for years and had good results. I just open last years program and forms, and the new one and then have a way to see how the law has changed items, screen by screen. My only complaint is that tax prepayers, and companies like HR and others are vested In this unnessarily complex system, and lobby our bought off legislators to keep this going. In truth, if government wasn't so corrupt and self-serving we wouldn't need this software at all. The tax law is for the benefit of the rich, who run our country!
