HORRIBLE SOFTWARE ON THE STATE RETURN

The H&R 2025 absolutely failed me this year. I was forced to print and mail my MS State Return, due to a software error. The software was hung up on the state return, trying to treat my 1099-Div as income and insisted that I enter something in block 7. It would not accept any response and forced me to print the return. Extremely angry that I paid for the State Return in this software and was unable to use it. I have purchased and used H&R for the last 20 years!! I want a full refund of my money!!!!!
Cons: Hard to prepare
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Very helpful tool

Well thought out. I needed to call for help with something, and got my question answered pretty quickly! One suggestion: Put the entry place for an IRS Identity Protection pin# on the last page, just before the SEND button. It's really buried now.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents, Fast

Well done again, as usual. I have used H&R Block for any years with excellent, accurate results for both FIT and SIT. It is so easy and simple to use the software with all of the well written directions and automated checks. The 2026 version will be on my computer when it becomes available in 2027.
