Very Hard to File

I've used Block for at least a decade and never had so much trouble than I had this year. It would not advance to the payment screen to pay for state e-filing and I had to call. Luckily, your tech was very helpful.
Cons: Hard to prepare
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Needs Virginia State Tax Update

They need to do a better job notifying customers of pending state tax law changes. Virginia, for example, just changed its tax law but changes have been pending for several months now. Even if it's too soon to actually update the software, they should have at least been able to provide a pending changes notice for customers in affected states. As it stands right now, my state taxes have been calculated incorrectly but luckily I knew myself about this and was able to postpone filing. I hope they roll out a software update soon and recalculate my return accordingly.

Cons: Doesn't maximize refund

Great product

I am amazed at the extensive changes this year. Without H&R Block Deluxe software I would be totally lost. Thank You.

Gave me all the options needed to select the correct filing status. Easy to use. Every form covered and easy to access.

CONFUSING

This is written for younger users. Us older types find it confusing. We like the price, but we had to redo the forms three times before we had it right.
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare, Hard to import documents
