The step-by-step program is generally easy to follow, but some steps were unclear, particularly for entering adjustments to determine Kentucky taxable income. The AI assistant was completely useless - I asked 3 different questions and it was unable to provide an answer for each. I ended up using Gemini to determine the correct forms and instructions. I don't plan to use the H&R Block Software in the future.
Cons: Time consuming
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Have used in that past, found this year to be a bit more cumbersome. Commercials past few months talking about BBB and better returns, some options seeemed to have gone away. Overall return resulted in more paid back to both (especially state) than expected. Left us a little surprised and disappointed. Had to go through a second time to fine more reductions, was asked questions (disability) and investment costs with no apparent follow on steps to walk through.
Pros: Easy to prepare
Cons: Time consuming, Doesn't maximize refund, Hard to import documents
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

When I printed out for my files the cover page was 2 pages long but was printed out as a run on page with one line only printed bottom half because the page scaling was messed up. If you can’t even print out a standard page what else did you screw up?

We have used H&R Block tax software for over 10 years. We are happy with how the software directs us to topics that impact our taxes based on our answers to questions posed. We have great confidence in H&R Block tax software.
Our only frustration is some of the verification items requiring attention prior to filing seem unnecessary and require a fair amount of research on our part. Otherwise, we are very happy with this product.

Very disappointed since I was expecting more from the desktop version. I have used Intuit Credit Karma online for the past several years which was free until last year because of more forms needed. The desktop version has poor resolution and feels outdated. Getting access to forms and explanations was not intuitive. I was not able to see the filled in 1040 until the very end. There were complications identifing myself when trying to e-file which I had done in previous years. I finally had to print out the tax forms to mail which were poor quality printing. Given my my more complicated filing I queried 2 AI apps as to which would tax apps woould work for me. H&R turned out to be a poor choice for me.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
