Generally good, but needs improvement for entering chatitable rmd distributions. It continues to be a problem in reporting this type of RMD ditribution using the HR Block software.

It's fine for what it does. Costs too much for what it does. Still pretty annoying to use, still requires too many inputs and the pdf imports are still flaky.

Great software that I have used for 40 years

I have been using HRBlock and the original TaxCut for 40 years. I find the software great at keeping current on changes to federal and state laws. The last few years, I would be lost trying to figure out my taxes without the guidance by Tax cut. On where to improve: This year HRBlock did not allow imports for Merrill. Since I have hundreds of trades, this is an issue. The AI search is basically useless. I ask for details about a form and it provides an irrelevant fact. The old search was much better. Do not go to an online tool. Turbotax does that and that is a specific reason I don't want to even try their software. Too many ways to leak customer data.
Pros: Easy to prepare
Cons: Hard to import documents
