Not happy. I paid for MS state package. I got errors which I didn't get on the federal return. On the federal return it highlights the errors. The state did not. It took me two hours to figure out the problem. I spent 20 miniates on the federal. This needs to be corrected. If you pay federal through your tax package the surcharge is too high.

Does the job well (even with the 25% price hike)

I wasn't happy that the cost was 25% higher this year than last, but I guess I'm getting used to it, and the other tax programs increased as well. When the government spends uncontrollably, this is what you get. The software continues to improve from year to year. I'm happy.

I could not find form 4852 that I needed to file when I was missing a w2.
I could not get an answer when i queried the AI,
I could not find it when I looked it up in Forms,
I could not get an answer on line.
It was not helpful.

I have used the software for at least 5 years since at least 2020. It has all what I need to do my returns. I like that the user interface has not changed much since I started using it (meaning not so much navigation surprises). I have not tried to see if the fonts can be made larger but it would be a nice feature to have. I understand it is somewhat complex software so I do some verification that the stock transactions imported are correct. I like the fact HR Block includes audit assistance if needed. I like the error and verification reviews when it flags something that is correct but even after I review them, they are still flagged. It's a reminder days later when picking up where I left off.
