I have used this software for over 10 years and it is simple for most things. Not a fan of how it imports 1099-B info. It does not import any cost basis info so I still need to walk through each transaction and modify it. I also did not like the instructions on how to enter supplemental lot detail cost basis. The fields for 1099-B cost basis incorrect did not appear to do anything. I was eventually able to get the transactions in with the correct cost basis but it took awhile. Not sure why it doesn't cover K-1 transactions in detail. They want you to buy a different software for that. With the dual cost I might as well have purchased TurboTax which does handle K-1s. This was a complicated year with disposing of employer DSPP transactions and K-1s. For straight forward stock transactions it is very good, but once you have any complicated details, you have to read all sorts of articles or hire a tax professional if you don't have the time.

I’ve used it for years. This is the first year that it found W2 info but didn’t fill in the amounts. That meant I had to find the forms anyway.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Fast
Cons: Hard to import documents
I would recommend this to a friend!

Two things: 1) I'm a long-term customer, and it used to be easier before everything went web-based. 2) The Federal program is fine, but finding help to your questions about your state is virtually impossible.
Cons: Time consuming
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I've been using this program for many years. One complaint that I have is not being able to conveniently scroll up and down the forms. There is a very narrow line on the right side of the form that is so narrow you can hardly scroll comfortably. I wish they would make that line bigger.
