Good software package but K1 support is weak

Have been using Block software for years and for the most part it does a good job. The one area that is lacking is the treatment of K1 inputs which are handled better in Turbotax
Pros: Maximizes refund
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare, Hard to import documents

Good interview approach for federal and state tax

I have used this for several years and overall it is a good, intuitive interview format. The AI chat was pretty good. You still need to check your return to be sure it makes sense.
I was surprised that a function that has worked properly for me in past years in the HRBlock software appears to be incorrect this year! Pennsylvania income tax treatment of Estate K-1 dividends added the state and federal income - it should use the state income instead of the federal income. I had to Override the input. (The AI chat agreed with my comments and said it would forward the information to the developers.)

Above average program, w/ a couple of minor issues

Overall very happy with this product. I switched over from a competitor a few years ago because there were distinct advantages, particularly in the importing of my investment data. The only reason this does not get a five star review is that the software does not accurately reflect the nomenclature used on my brokerage statements. It will present me with a great long string of digits identified by a date, but not a name. I have to go back through my statement to Discover the proper name and quantity, and that's frankly getting as close to the tedium of doing manual entry.
Pros: Easy to import documents

I’ve used this for years, the only slight problem I had was with the new senior tax deduction. It took a couple AI and chats, but we were able to figure it out!! That was the first real hiccup that I had in all the years of using this software. Will be back next year!!
