It worked well, with one exception. My 1099-B from Fidelity was too large to load, so I had to use summarized information. The program told me that if I had some wash sales (which I did), I couldn't use summarized information. But there was no way I was going to hand enter hundreds of pages of transactions, so I entered the summarized information.
Please increase the program's capacity to accept very large 1099-B information from Fidelity.
Pros: Easy to prepare
Cons: Hard to import documents

Could not find a way to resize the screen text, which made it challenging to see the text - need to include a screen feature to expand/contract the screen text - should not have to reset system settings.

I have used this software for years and been very happy with it. I started to use it also for state tax submission but I can’t electronically submit WV Tax because of personal property tax credit form and disability form. An option to add a document would be an outstanding enhancement.

Great to use, except for a couple of things. The AI tool didn’t help. Whenever I asked a question, the answer was “I can’t answer that”, so I turned to ChatGPT.
2. There is a question about verifying last year’s AGI and directions to change it, if incorrect. There is a glitch trying to change. The box to type the new info just keeps jumping around.

Watch for sales, never pay full price. It does the job. The slow rollout of updates is kind of annoying, and some of the state software is lacking in the guided interview department, particularly if you have to file in multiple states as a part-year resident. Also, some of the import document features don't work right (eg, tried to import a W2, but it then assigned it to myself instead of my spouse). But overall, it's fine and I would probably keep using this again in the future, as I've done for the last several years.
Pros: Easy to prepare

Lots of problems

QBI carry forward was not provided in the future update promised but arrived two updates later. The many data verification messages were annoying and confusing using CPA-speak instead of plain language. The 2024 AGI needed to file was incorrect and required a manual override. I have been using H&R Block software for many years but it seems only worse with time. Changing to Turbo Tax next year in hopes of a smoother and more accurate experience.
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
