Using Block tax software and before that, its predecessor name, Taxcut, since the early 2000s. Very satisfied with the product, One request: can HRBlock provide an optional screen to show the impact of making a decision, and then be able to quickly reverse it. This would be useful for situations where the taxpayer does not have a clear understanding of the question, but can get to see the actual tax impact.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Fast
Cons: Doesn't maximize refund

Manual Work Needed

This year's version didn't support MerrillEdge Brokerage, so I had to manually input all my stock sales, dividends and interest income. Also my wife works for State Farm, and I had to manually input her W2 as well. I am not going to use HR Block next year, and rather switch to TurboTax.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Good software, hard to verify 1099-B transactions

Generally, the software is easy to use and accurate. My one big irritation is that there is no way to view 1099-B transactions in a tabular format, and there is no way to go through them in sequence. If you want to verify your 1099-B transactions, you have to open one and verify it, which returns you to the top of the list. Then select the second and verify it, which returns you to the top of the list. It is very tedious to verify 1099-B entries.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund
Cons: Hard to import documents

I really appreciate how easy it is to download data from financial institutions.
