Bad year for HRBlock

More difficult to make entries than previous years. Not able to insert pin #'s even when they are entered in Specialty Situations section or at the end which leads to not being able to E-File. Still havent found a solution

I tried another company one year because I got it for free from one of my investment companies but ended up buying this one to do my taxes. I’ve lived in different states and have had different tax situations over the decades (regular job, self-employment, tax deferred accounts, investments,rental property, real estate transactions). This software has always done the job .

The program resolution didn't match my monitor resolution. It looks like they made it on a crt monitor and never scaled up. Furthermore there were glitches. Data wouldn't populate on the form after I entered it and some selections seemed meaningless as the program did what it wanted to anyway. All of this is alarming from a program dealing with something as important and sensitive as the US tax code.
Pros: Easy to prepare
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to import documents
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Changes in the interview lead to challenges in correct returns. Some computations (known issues) were not correct and had to be overridden. ChatGPT was useful in finding the errors. Time for something better after using for 20 years.
