Does tax returns for me with verifiable results.

I do my own and some family tax returns with this software. I was a CPA before I retired that did several farmers tax returns along with businesses and related individual returns. I have been with this software since it was called Kiplinger's. Has done a reasonable job for me for many years.

Unhappy with the illogical process. If you file an electronic federal file first, you have to go through the whole filing process again for the federal if you want to e-file the state. unacceptable, turbo tax next year
Cons: Hard to prepare

Shows little attention to detail or bug correction

The TY2025 version for the Mac contained the exact same software problems as the previous year. Update alerts occur but will not load automatically. They require going to a download site and then installing manually. The included state software will not load within the program without attempting to charge separately. This requires contacting support and having the state version emailed for manual installation. Finally, printing of any forms are grossly enlarged and unusable. Turns out, you must click a box in the printout setup to correct this.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Have used for over a decade. The past few yrs have started having non negligible glitches. This year the gui did not properly film out my state forms. Glitched out on partial residency between michigan and ohio. The checker at the end identified the data inconsistencies on the forms. The info was provided correctly in the gui, had to manually correct the forms. Costs a lot of money for this type of basic functionality glitch…
Pros: Easy to import documents
Cons: Time consuming
