Suggestion. You note that payments in 2025 for 2024 taxes can be deducted on the state return. Please make it clear that this is not true for the Federsl return.

I still like to do my own taxes, so I know what is going on. Using a program like H&R Block guides me through the process. I don't know all the steps, but I feel like I know enough to know that the program is doing what it should be doing. It definitely saves time from doing it on paper. I used to have trouble with other tax programs, but so far, I am not having software and incompatibility issues.

Also I had to pay extra to file for VA taxes!
