Tired of paying so much for single use repetitive

I used to give these tax programs five stars, but realistically, the amount of upkeep on the program versus the price of a single use software package is ridiculous. On top of that, the online help is pathetic. There were several times that I got either error or warning messages on worksheets and the program help just said see the form instructions but there was nothing in the IRS instructions that addressed the warning.

I have been using H&R Block software for 6 years and it has saved me much time. I especially like the feature which downloads the 1099 data although, for the first time, this year was a glitch in the data from the 1099-B forms in that the data shown on the tax return form did not match the entries on the 1099-B. It took me several days to find the problems and manually correct them.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Not as clear and intuitive as TurboTax. Does not show source when you click.
Put some my 1099R separately as IRA, confusing me.
If you import 1099 several times it will put duplicates on the return instead of recognising it is the same data.
If you delete 1099 from from the list of 1099s it will delete it from return.
Keep showing me items in red without telling what is wrong or suspicious.
