I have been using H&R Block Software for years because it make completing my Federal taxes quick and easy. I can import information from last year's return and this year information from financial institutions. The program review your return for error before you submit and even tells you if there are any red flags for being audited.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Easy to import documents, Fast

Overall experience is good but this year I could not get the return to print. Kept getting a message that “cannot print HRBlock-error. I went to devices and did a trst print page and it worked ok. Back to HRocj and hit the same error message.
Pros: Easy to import documents
Cons: Time consuming

The H&R Block Tax software provided an excellent user experience. Their 2025 software is backward compatible with Windows 10, so that was a deciding factor. The H&R help desk talked me through my confusion, and their software performed correctly. Electronic filing worked great, and my refund arrived in my bank account after several days.
