Program is good. I wish the review process was easier and comparisons to prior year more detailed. It is hard at times to figure out where to enter the information. It seems it can be entered in more than one place and this might cause issues.
I have not found a better product (price and quality) for many years now. I do wish the products worked on other platforms, instead of just windows.
Pros: Fast
Cons: Hard to prepare
I would recommend this to a friend!

I've been using H&R block for the last 15 years. I love the fact that I can download static data from the previous year that saves me a lot of time re-entering information and ensures that I don't miss anything that I may have overlooked. It's easy to understand and does your taxes in a nice logical order. It's easy to go back and check your work and there is a final verification test to ensure your return is complete before submission. The free electronic transmission makes it so easy to make sure your return gets to the IRS on time.

Not coming back

I have used this software for at least 5 years. Will be going back to Turbo Tax next year. I struggled with my Michigan state return two years in a row. The deduction for public servants pensions was very difficult to understand. I also had trouble with inputting my Michigan estimated tax payments.
The enhanced senior deduction on the Federal form required me to click a tiny box...The software knows my age; why was this not automatic?
Your "online help" was useless.

I had problem figuring the sale of an EE bond. Every time I tried to fill it out a form about it. the whole program would terminate and I had to reboot it again, again and again. I gave out on the form and completed filing my tqxes without it.

I bought the version that included a state return. The state would not load properly. It took several attempts and calls for support. The last person I talked with took time to ensure could load the state information. That was great.
BUT... I won't use this software again. I found it impossible to figure out where something got entered so I could change it. Interest from an account got counter twice. I never figured out how to remove the second entry. I removed it by hand, but that prevented electronic filing. Given the frustration of using this software, next year I'll use an accountant. My return is simple, but that's outweighed by the time I wasted trying to figure out this software, although I have used it several times before.
