The software was not able to handle a 1099-NEC that included income from two states. I had to erase my work on Fed and one state and start again. The software still did not accommodate it.

I have been using HR Block Tax Software since it was first released. It is easy to use, simply enter the information from your tax form into the electronic form (or follow the questionnaire). The ability to preload your new return from last years is a real time saver. The best feature for me was the ability to download my 1099B from Fidelity. It was 127 pages long. The software prepared every worksheet for every line item. I e-filed in March and had my refund approved within 4 days. Best of all is that this software is significantly discounted on Back Friday/Cyber Monday.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Easy to import documents
I would recommend this to a friend!

The constant series of updates all through the filing season, with no clear explanation of what is being changed means I cannot file with confidence until April 15-- and last year there were updates after that. Software should be tested before release, not using customers as your testers.
Cons: Hard to prepare

Very little tax info that helps in prep. It is mainly good for transferring mum Dr's from year to year and doing arithmetic. Limited Value for the money.
