I’ve been using your software to prepare and file our return every year since it was developed. (The only exception was the one year H&RBlock erroneously decided not to make it Mac compatible!) It gets the job done. Now my adult kids buy it to file their own returns.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Easy to import documents

They had many years to get it right, but haven't

The integration of CA state return and Federal return is poor, requiring user to manually enter worksheets that could easily be transferred by the software. The pdf printout of the cover page for Federal return always cuts off the bottom last line of page 1, rendering it illegible; it should be transferred over to page 2, which is largely blank.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I was very impressed with how thorough the software program was in terms of providing assistance, and guiding me through the entire process. At one point, I needed to call on HR Chat and my issue was resolved in minutes (no long wait). Another time, I wanted to inquire about specific processes and used the AI help. Again I felt my concern was properly addressed.

Errors in your form during review that are not really errors. If you didn’t do schedule C should not say that there is an error. Also if you live in Assisted Living you CAN claim renters rebate if place you live pays property taxes.
Cons: Hard to prepare

The Federal return has been processed and the return made. The state return is on hold, had to resubmit identical information and waiting to hear back from the State of New Mexico
