Overall pretty good. I would like to see some more features so that you actually learn what you are doing for next year instead of it just doing everything for you. A review topic on maximizing contributions at the end would also be a nice addition. I could have contributed more to 401K's, HSA's & IRA's but forgot to go back & do it on my own so now I'll have to file an amended return.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Fast
Cons: Doesn't maximize refund

I entered my data and after saving, I could not open my return. This happened twice. I had to uninstall and reinstall the app. After that I was able to open my return and continue.

Got this when Turbo Tax cost nearly twice and I've used HR Block before but this year there was a particularly fussy bit that the software was totally vague on. It gave two slots for an investment listing, one the "main" and one "all others". But when the slots were filled out it came out wrong. The supposedly helpful information on the side panels was useless, the FAQ was useless and the terms they used were not familiar to the professional financier I had to come help me figure it out with. In the end we figure it out but it was a lot of wasted time because the programmers didn't handle that element clearly and the back up FAQ and information work sheets were also vague and unclear. Frustrating.
Pros: Easy to import documents
Cons: Hard to prepare
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Went to H and R because TurboTax didn't upgrade to Windows 10 and I didn't want to buy a new computer. Every bit as easy to use as TurboTax.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Easy to import documents
