I bought a federal and 1 state license. The federal worked and was filed. I was never able to download or use the CA state license. I gave up and used turbo tax for state.
Pros: Easy to prepare
Cons: Hard to prepare
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I used this program for years. However, this year, the program would not let me e-file because there was information in the Schedule 1 24k section. Relative to that, it also showed that as an error that I had to correct to e-file, however, it said that I had two errors to correct. It turned out to be the same reported error twice. The printed tax return didn't show and additional information that wouldn't have been in the e-file version. In any event, my sister had the exact same information in her Turbo Tax program and she was able to e-file. This problem has cost me lots of time and money to mail the returns.
Cons: Time consuming
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
