I have been using the deluxe for over 20 yrs now and never get a break on the price. I can file my taxes for free but I keep coming back to the deluxe, but now that the price keeps going up and you do not care about loyal customers I am really think about going to turbo tax, because if I think I am getting ripped off then lets try a new company or just file

I've been using the program for a really long time, but it felt harder this year for some reason. Maybe it was the end of the process where the verification found some errors which were hard to correct. They didn't seem like errors. This year I had to navigate back and forth a few times as I didn't have all my 1099s when I started. There was something odd about not getting to all the right screens for those inputs.
Pros: Easy to import documents
Cons: Time consuming

Following the interview process via software was almost like a discussion with my tax preparer. The only differences were the preparer offered a little more explanation and guidance about the financial terminology for which I paid 6 times as much as taking a chance and doing it myself on my own computer.
