This is my fourth year using H&R Block software and I couldn’t be happier. From the downloading to the filing is a pleasure to work with, I like every single feature. This software gives me the confidence that my tax return is complete and accurate.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents, Fast

State software left lots to be expected. NY.
Does not share the difference between itemizing and standard deduction.
Just does without transparency.
Sometimes both federal and state share.., do not uncheck box.. We the software will decide. Wasted my time I knew not to take that path.

The program works as expected and can handle all my tax needs. One thing I appreciate is the look and feel has remained fairly constant between versions over the years. That way I can get right to it with not a big learning curve trying to find where things have been moved to.

Great program but I feel miscommunication on the program. It doesn’t say if you e-file state you need to pay. It states you get 1 state tax filed on deluxe program. That was miss leading
