I have use H&R Block Tax Software since it was issued. It is the only one I have ever used. My request for “improvement” would be to offer Trust Filing as an add on to The Deluxe More and More People are creating Trusts and will require this combination to file the taxes from a Grantors Trust 1041 on their Persona 1040 while still filing the 1041.
Pros: Easy to prepare
I would recommend this to a friend!

I've been using Tax Cut / H&R Block tax software for years... but the dialog that asks about RMDs needs work. In particular, my RMD and Federal withholding information is reported to me on a 1099R form which is automatically loaded during the income gathering portion of the guide. However later, when questions are asked about whether an RMD was taken during the year, the responses that make sense to me cause the software to double count my required RMD... and report that I owe double the withholding. This is confusing and should be corrected.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Easy to import documents
Cons: Time consuming, Doesn't maximize refund

Love H&R - Only criticism is Wells Fargo is not in the list to upload but they are in TurboTax - out investments moved from Morgan Stanley to Wells Fargo Advisors so sadly if not in H&R may have to change to TurboTax which I hate to do next year - also wish there was better help and info
