I have been using your software for at least 15 years and have found it to be easy to use and informative. This year I ran into a problem doing my son’s return regarding the filing of a Form 1099, Cancellation of Debt, by a creditor where the creditor had abandoned further efforts to collect on the debt. My son had genuinely contested the debt at all times prior to the creditor’s filing and had supporting documents to prove it. The software did not allow me to note this on Schedule 1, Line 24z, and offered no help through AI, chat help, or other resource any advice that would enable me to do so. As a result, I had to go to the IRS site and complete, with the appropriate modifications, Form 1040 and Schedule 1. I recommend that, despite the rareness of this occurrence, that you modify your program to provide advice in this circumstance and allow the user to make entries appropriately addressing it. Thank you.

I am unhappy when I import the prior year data. It messed up my personal data and it didn’t carry forward my prior years data

Every year it’s been an hours long struggle to get expert human assistance from Block. I get shipped from department to department when I need clarification re: how to answer prompts in the software. Finally, this year I resorted to speaking with someone at the IRS for help with a concern. I wish Block would be more user friendly and make it easier to get expert human help.

I am visually impaired, and Block is a challenge for me. Text is generally too small for me. Text contrast (e. .g., white text on green buttons, gray text on white background) is hard for me to read. Black on white background would be much easier I use Block becauseIt does the job, and TurboTax is even worse for me visuakky.
