I have been using H&R Block tax software for several years (reaching back to when it was Kiplinger's Tax Cut). Probably a min of 15 years. It is simple to use, easy to import support files from financial institutions as well as populating all the information from previous years tax filings. Explanations and advice are very useful and are presented at the appropriate time while filling out the return. All in all I am, and have been, very satisfied with this software. Keep up the good work!

Have been using for several years, so am comfortable with the guided flow. It is still a little clunky if you want to pop into one item, make a change and get out as you are lead through several related items in the section (whether or not you need to change them). While I understand the challenge of keeping current with all the IRS rules handed down, it is frustrating to see updates rolling out into March. Early updates at least forecast when the next update will ship. Filed when I thought they were finished and got another update after filing in early March. They should provide better release notes of what is being fixed in next release and what has been fixed in the current update. Have seen conflicts where messages say essentially "This field is wrong but you can do it on our own if you want to file".
Pros: Easy to prepare, Easy to import documents
Cons: Time consuming

I have been using the block tax programs for a very long time (including tax cut days). Now my eyesight is not as good as it used to be making it hard to view the tax screens. Even changing the
screen resolution does not help because the program has so much blank space. I will be investigating other programs with better displays next season.
