This is the first time I used HR Block software. It was pretty comparable to my previous software in terms of user friendliness. I did have a problem with the carryover to the state form that was extremely difficult to figure out. Once we figured it out it was an easy fix.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to import documents
I would recommend this to a friend!

The software worked really well and it was pretty easy to navigate. I usually enter my 1099s and other items when they come in (I don't wait for them all to come in then enter them at once.) So it's important that I can enter things at any time and hop around. This program was easy to use in that respect. I used TURBO TAX for years but decided to try H&R this year. All in all I think this was easier and a little better.
I especially like that you canm download 1099s from various investment firms. Although I didn't get stuck for alittle while when I got a CORRECTED 1099 and somehow they program duplicated some entries.
I had to review carefully and deleted the dups manually.
