Had problems with classification of a managed account. Program would not accept that it was NOT an IRA. Wasted a lot of time trying to figure out a questionable solution? to be able to e-file.
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare

Overall pleased with the program, but for the SC State Additions to Income, there was no obvious explanation for those, and SC directs tax payers to include an explanation, which I was not able to do within the software.

It does most things well but I found 1 problem. If you overlook assigning a royalties worksheet copy number after entering royalty income in the K-1 input questions for Partnerships and S-Corporations income, it treats royalty income as zero and it does not warn you that you goofed. An acquaintance had to file an amended return because he filed his return before he noticed that.

I’ve been using hrb for over 15 years with great success. However this year I painfully noticed that it does not support Merrill (BoA) integration due to some technical problems.

Too hard to navigate and to find a specific topic. I had an error that I needed to supply the actual dates I paid withdrawn taxes, I looked for the place where I made that choice as I didn’t mean to do that, but could not find it.
