I've used H&R block tax software for years. It's easy to use and way cheaper to do my own taxes with the software than go to an accountant or tax firm.

It has worked great. The only thing I would like better is for "plain talk" answers to questions instead of directing to the IRS website. Each profession has its special language and for those of us who don't speak "taxes" or "finance", the explanation still is confusing . Overall the program has worked very well for me.

Poor, poor, and worse

After all the tax filings the software should be air tight. Just got my return rejected by the IRS. Went through the software without a hitch. Tax filing was so simple even a blind man could have done it manually without being rejected.
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare, Hard to import documents
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

So many glitches! Had to buy twice

Tech support said it was my fault on the download so they couldn’t fix the constant updates that would never work to get past that to submit my taxes. They wanted the next level to approve another download, which never came. So had to remove and repurchase and found that a hidden page under the “Installing” page was stating which state to download was hanging out and it never completed its true download before! It took twice as long as the first one so maybe it was my fault for not seeing the junk underneath! I guess it is too hard to use for use country folk....that is my recommendation.
