I have used this tax software for years on both Mac and Windows machines. It has always worked, calculated the taxes correctly and we do 5 sets of taxes every time due to family.

I have used H&R Block tax programs for 7 years now. It is very easy to use as all you need to do is follow the steps and answer questions. I will never use anything else.

Used it for years. It seems to get a little worse each year. A few complaints
- cumbersome and time consuming to view all the info one has entered without going back through every screen.
- ability to see breakdown of how tax total was computed is non existent. For example: I might have $70K of retirement/IRA income (1099-R stuff), and $60K capital gain income. I want to see how much of my total tax came from the $60K capital gain and at what rate it that part of my income was taxed.
- Unless you pay additional money, you get no chat support or help.
- between the cost to buy, then add in cost to file your state return, then cost of additional chat support, you are getting close to cost of just taking it to professional tax preparer - which is what I plan to do next year.

After trying a number of tax preparation packages I have settled on H&R Block. I find it to be the easiest to use.

I got this program near end Dec 2019 and had my taxes done in end-Jan after receiving financial forms. I waited to submit, and good thing I did because I didn't have to take my IRA's Required min distribution, a big thing for next year 2020.
There was an error in my return that I had a hard time finding and correcting. For one of my estimated state tax payments, I accidentally typed year 2029 rather than 2019 and the program disregarded that entry to my detriment. I suggest that not only numbers be checked, but if a date to an entry is really out of wack, that it also be flagged.
Getting to some places is still hard/circuitous ... and I've been using your program long before it became H&RBlock.

I have been using this software for about 8 years now and it has never let me down. Exceptionally user friendly. Walks you through each and every step in the process and provides guidance and facts along the way. It even recommends ways to save on taxes in the future!!

Best tax program available

I have used H&R Block Deluxe Tax Software for over a decade now & have never had an issue with the program. I wish the U.S. would simplify the tax code but H&R Block has kept up with it even as it has gotten more complicated. I have never had printer issues with H&R Block & I like how you can save your tax forms to a PDF file. I will keep using their Deluxe program because of my investments & the program's simple & easy to use menu pages. Keep up the good work H&R Block!
