I have used for many years, though my taxes were simple. This year I had a few odd items like an excess contribution and electric vehicle credit. Neither of those things are uncommon at all but the software made it more confusing to complete than simply filling out the actual IRS forms. Poor poor job with even the smallest curveball. Heck, there are even several references to taxes being due on April 15 instead of July 15. Where were your updates, H&R?

I've had a lot of years of experience with this tax software. Most of the time it has been exceptional. The 2019 federal and state software I bought was somehow flawed. I could not update and download my paid for state tax form despite many attempts to do so. Finally I had to go to my state's tax website and if fill out the forms by hand online.
HR Block's FAQ section was not useful in trying to figure out what my problem was.
In the future I may just go and buy the Federal tax software with e-filing. And go to my state's tax revenue site to work on the forms there.

I've been using the H&R Block tax programs for years. I enjoy the ease of use, the ability to click on a specific help topic, the quiz to see if you qualify for something, finding out things you are qualified for but never knew, the accuracy check at the end, etc.
