Program had a spurious data entry in a form that was not directly reviewed in the questionnaire. athe data was carried over from a previous return that did not need the form for reported to the IRS. No idea where the data came from. The data made the tax status of my IRA distribution incorrect. Caused a couple of days of angst and several hours of in investigation until I discovered the spurious data and removed it. Removing it was confusing as well. Time spent with the help line did not solve the problem. Once the spurious data was removed the program worked as expected and the full amount of my distribution was taxed.
Cons: Time consuming
I would recommend this to a friend!

Refund was way off. Hrblock software showed $3817 refund. Just today heard back from irs saying they changed it to $2117

This year’s program was super glitchy and seemed flawed. There were many times when I would enter in numbers, and the numbers would either move to a different box, or disappear completely. It was pretty frustrating and ended up making more work for me overall. None of the other years were like this so far.

We have used the H&R Block software for many years, even in the "Tax Cut" days. I have used the "Chat" help one or two times to get clarification. The software does help you file your taxes correctly, and at least in our case, confidently. It is not difficult to use,
