Software does exactly what it is supposed to do. Walked me through federal and state income taxes. Just wish the state programs were not that expensive.

Was quick & easy enough. Hit glitch trying to enter the bank Route & Acct# - it refund to take those so had check mailed... That may be just as well if Musk's hackers are looking for bank account numbers & what our charitable contributions are.

It said it would automatically load my previous year's info, then as it started, it asked where I wanted to start so I used Browse to locate the new 2024 folder I had created and it said it could not proceed. That stopped me for about 10-15 minutes until I figured out it was not asking me where I wanted to store my new return but where was my last years return. Years ago, it was able to search the disk and find that automatically without asking so this was confusing. Also, I knew I was going with the standard deduction and I would love to be able to tell it that up front so that it does not waste my time asking questions to determine what I already know. As for this survey, I'm on the first page and two boxes below this one, it says Nickname* and I have no idea what this is a nickname for . . . the review . . . the software . . . me. There's an * which universally means check for note at bottom but there is no note at bottom.
