The software generally is accurate and easy to use. However, this year there was an error in your Maryland software. The good news is that your auditing software identified that there was an error, and your support folks explained the error to me on the telephone. I thus was able to complete the Maryland return accurately using the State of Maryland's software. In general, I am very satisfied with your software, and I will buy it again. I have been using it for more than two decades.

I have been using this SW for years for the most part It's pretty easy but I find the help topics a little thin. This year I made a mistake and mixed up my stimulus reporting amounts which caused Me to get an economic recovery credit payment which I should not get. The IRS says they will fix that for me with no repercussions. The HR SW had all the information necessary to catch and flag that mistake but it did not (SW Bug). Over all I have been satisfied with HR Block SW over the years I have been using it.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Fast
Cons: Doesn't maximize refund

It does what it's supposed to do and makes it easy since it imports previous year's data as a guide for what needs to be filled in. Easy to get help if needed but don't need help most of the time. Great product for the IRS and my state taxes.

Check for Mac Upgrades/State download misleading

Make sure you Mac version is compatible. This was a huge pain for me to upgrade my Mac. And I was unable to download the State software that I paid for.

Cons: Time consuming, Hard to import documents
