I have used H&R Block for years and it has been a great help in dealing with complicated tax filing. One still has to assemble all necessary W-2s, 1099s, etc. and input the data, but the software works it all out, does needed computations, and warns about any discrepancies or need for additional info. I also like the guarantee of personal representation in case of an audit

I buy this every year. Haven't had any problems until this year. Finished federal, no problems. Finished state. Said problems with federal. Said to fix. Everything to be fixed couldn't because it was what was on the w-2. One was line 3 should be different than 1 but that is never the case . It said if I can't fix I have to mail it. I contacted you. The person said everything was right. I'm not sure if I'm using this next year.

Product would not allow me to file and I had to print out and mail taxes. But what really upset me was the program telling me I had to be married in order to have two separate offices for my two separate legal small businesses. I have used your program for as long if not longer than my 13 year old businesses and never had this issue. Then I was told if I wanted to file a software ticket to your people, I would have to pay. I do not feel as a customer I should have to pay to FILE a ticket for YOUR software glitch to be fixed. If it was my personal mistake I made in using your program, I would understand but according to your people who answered my 4 phones calls lasting over 6 hours I was not making a mistake and I had to screen shot and send the error I explained. Greatly considering and actively looking for new option to file my taxes next year and rest of future. I have been with H&R Block for over 25 years and was treated terribly in my time of need.

I’ve been using this tax software for many years without any issues. My only complaint occurred this year when I cashed in some old savings bonds. The software led me to believe I could deduct the interest income if I contributed to a 529 college savings plan. After a lengthy process of entering the bond serial number, purchase and sale date I learned the interest couldn’t be reduced. This plan is for my three grandchildren and it’s only available for dependents listed on the that form. They could have easily identified the requirements before I needlessly researched and entered the information. Not good!
