All was well with the software until PDF995. The given instructions were total junk. Finally got it downloaded, but no interface with the H & R software.

I was disappointed by how little explanations they gave and how difficult it was to move around between sections. I kept having to google for answers because I couldn't find it in the software.

I have used H&R Block to file federal and state returns for over a decade. The Block software has gotten progressively easier to use. For the last couple of years data entry has become more transparent and this year I had little to think about beyond following the software’s guidance. Excellent product.

Very easy-to-use and fast, too. It found some deductions that I didn't know about and it is so simple to check others that you run thru them, just to make sure you don't qualify. State returns become simple since all the Fed data ports over for you.
