On-line help, chat help, and Facebook chat help was sub-par. Known issue with submitting CA state tax filing was only admitted after talking with MULTIPLE people. Agravation could have been avoided with a simple admission of the problem.

This was my first time using tax software. It did speed up the process of preparing my taxes and electronic filing was convenient. I was expecting help with more confusing processes such as reporting of foreign taxes paid and foreign income earned within a mutual fund. The software referred me to the IRS rules to insure I entered the correct data. The software should simplify the process.

Cons: Time consuming

Awful. If I weren’t so vigilant about double-checking my numbers between the state and federal returns, I would not have caught the $600 added to my state income that was reflected as a -$600 business loss on my federal. I had to manually make an adjustment. Just surprisingly bad.
