We have purchased this for years and share with family. It is a good way to do simple taxes. I really like that it saves data from the past year so you don't have to look stuff up. Also, it definitely saves time being able to e-file. I also like being able to get my state tax forms and e-file those too.

I've used your software for the last 5 or 6 years and this is the first time I had to work so hard. I even had to send one federal return by mail because of some unknown problem with a password even though I've used the same one for years. I've also never seen so many problems with information not being stored and having to re-enter it 3 times or more. Some data is lost transferring it to the final forms...strange. This is not up to your past standards.
Cons: Time consuming
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Missing checks and balances, costs a lot more than

The interface was good and the process fast. I did the electronic filing of federal and state taxes and filled out the information. I was later informed by the state that the electronic transaction did not have a bank account, so I was given a fine and interest of $435. It was taking a long time to get my federal return back. I went to the software to see if I can get an idea where it was, but it sent me to a website that didn't have the information. I finally found it at the IRS and there wasn't a bank account associated and they are sending it by check. I do recall entering the routing and account numbers, but it obviously didn't make it. This should have been caught by the software. I used Turbo Tax the previous 20+ years and had no issues aside from their push for one-on-one instead of software.
Pros: Easy to prepare
Cons: Doesn't maximize refund
