I've used with success, HRBlock tax products for years now. Tax questions are delivered in an orderly, understanding way. There's help anywhere within your tax forms. I highly recommend HR Blocks Tax programs for all those do it yourselfers out there.

It doesn’t work well on MAC’s and when you work in one state and live in another the program gives a false error and won’t let you e-file the return for state of residency.
Cons: Hard to prepare
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Overall, great product; used since 2011.
Fast data transfer from prior year, ease of use, explanations, prompts. No problems with Federal and state (CA) filing acceptance - ever. Would give five stars, except current iMac iOS update ( Big Sur) is not apparently compatible with data on H&R software prior to 2017. Not a big deal, since I have a printed hard copy of every year, and only last year’s is downloaded to current year.
But,..... still. My Mac says contact vendor for compatibility update for those years.
That hassle I won’t pursue.
