Software was pretty good but I was disappointed my broker (Baird) was not included on your list available to download from. All my stock sales had to be manually entered. I have previously used Turbo Tax and my broker is available to download from on their software.
Pros: Easy to prepare
Cons: Hard to import documents

When you have 1000 individual stock buys and sells, having the ability to accept each transaction without review is important or at least something that allows you to sort or go from transaction to transaction without going to main menu is important

Like the software, but found 1 major problem this

I have used your product for many years and have been satisfied. This year, I discovered a very confusing item with your software that could have cost me a lot of money (>$1,000). I entered numerous 1099's with foreign tax payments and had over $1,000 of total foreign credits to claim. Despite those entries, the software ignored the data and was not including the credits in my taxes. I found this by manual inspection, not because of a software-driven warning. Through brute force trial and error I figured out where I was missing another entry that allowed the software to include the noted foreign tax credits...but it was far more difficult to figure this out than it should have been...hours of wasted time. Based on internet chatter, I am far from alone with this complaint. Please find a way to have the software recognize that foreign tax credits are not able to be claimed and suggest troubleshooting/verification. Credits are worth a lot of money and would more than pay for choosing a more robust tax preparation software.
